About this role
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle civil litigation matters from inception through trial
- Draft and argue pleadings, motions, and discovery documents
- Take and defend depositions and appear in state and federal courts
- Manage a caseload of civil litigation files with increasing independence
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on litigation strategy and trial preparation
- Conduct legal research and prepare comprehensive legal memoranda
- Negotiate settlements and manage client communications throughout
the litigation lifecycle
Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school required
- Active Colorado Bar license required — no exceptions
- 3-7 years of civil litigation experience required
- Deposition experience required
- Dispositive motion drafting experience required
- Strong legal research and writing skills required
Strongly Preferred:
- Insurance defense or personal injury litigation experience
- Trial experience (first-chair or second-chair)
- Experience in both state and federal courts in Colorado
- Established relationships with Colorado courts and court personnel
