Verification Engineer

Role Description The Senior SOC Verification Engineer will be responsible for planning, developing, and executing verification strategies for complex SOC designs, ensuring functional correctness and performance requirements are met. Day-to-day activities include creating test plans, building verification environments, writing and running test cases, analyzing coverage, and driving closure of verification metrics. The role involves close collaboration with RTL design, validation, and firmware teams to debug issues, refine specifications, and improve overall design quality. The engineer will contribute to methodology improvements, mentor junior team members, and support tape-out readiness through rigorous verification sign-off. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. Qualifications Strong expertise in functional verification for complex SOCs, including test planning, coverage analysis, and verification sign-off. The candidate should have at least 5+ years of experience, not less. Hands-on experience with RTL Design and debugging, including the ability to understand architectural specifications and trace issues to root cause. Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) or similar quality and process frameworks as applied to semiconductor product development and verification flows. Proficiency with industry-standard verification tools and methodologies (e.g., SystemVerilog, UVM, simulators, waveform viewers). Bachelor’s or master's degree in electrical engineering, electronics, computer engineering, or a related discipline. Experience working on SOC projects from specification to tape-out, ideally in networking, multimedia, or IoT domains. Ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams, communicate complex technical issues clearly, and mentor less experienced engineers. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with attention to detail and commitment to quality.
