Accountant ( Australian taxation )

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Australian tax accountant with a strong understanding of Australian taxation and accounting principles. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in preparing financial statements, BAS, and tax returns for various entity types while ensuring compliance with Australian tax regulations. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review financial statements for Australian entities. Prepare and lodge business activity statements (BAS). Prepare tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, and individuals. Ensure compliance with Australian taxation laws and ATO requirements. Assist with tax planning, tax compliance, and advisory services. Review and analyze financial data to identify tax implications and opportunities. Work closely with clients to gather financial information and resolve tax-related queries. Maintain accurate accounting records and documentation. Required Skills & Experience Minimum 2–3+ years of experience in Australian accounting and taxation. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Strong English communication and client interaction skills. Hands-on experience with: Financial Statements BAS (Business Activity Statements) Tax Returns for Companies, Trusts, Partnerships, and Individuals Strong knowledge of: Division 7A Section 100A Trust Distributions Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) Proficiency in: Xero MYOB QuickBooks Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline. Minimum 2 years of Australian accounting experience is mandatory. Knowledge of Australian taxation regulations and compliance requirements is essential. Preferred Attributes Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple client engagements and meet deadlines. Team-oriented with a proactive approach to learning and development.

Minimum 2 years experience in Australian accounting is required. Knowledge on Australian taxation is a must
